Prepared Adhesives

Universal PVA adhesive is available in 1kg , 5kg and 27kg containers. It is a purpose adhesive used widely throughout the trade on cloth/paper to board. Smaller quantities are available upon request.

Reversible PVA adhesive is available in 1kg, 5kg and 25kg containers. Being ‘reversible’ means that if someone wants to undo their work at a later date they can do so with much less damage to the paper, than if a standard PVA was used. It also has a built in resistance to yellowing due to aging and carries a neutral pH of 7.

PVA/Starch Paste Mix is a blend of Starch & PVA Resin Emulsion & Preservatives. It causes activation to be delayed, therefore allowing repositioning in the gluing process. Specially formulated liquid adhesive that will not shrink textiles or fabrics. Perfect for specialty paper backed materials and providing an excellent strong final bond. Added PVA for high initial tack and strong final bond. Available in 1kg 5kg & 10kg containers.

Prepared Wheat Starch Paste adhesive is ready mixed, and is wheat based with a neutral pH. Prepared wheat based adhesive. Specially formulated for paper lined book cloths & fine textiles. It is available in 1kg & 5kg containers.

Pearl adhesive is available in granules/beads in a 7.5kg container, it is suitably activated upon reaching a temperature of 40 degrees C.

Electric Glue Pots have a 1 litre capacity and operate by the use of a 240 volt thermostatic control, in order that the adhesives will reach the required temperature.

EVACON-R is a specially formulated conservation adhesive that has a neutral pH and is non plasticised. It is a reversible archival paper laminating adhesive suitable for laminating papers and boards, boxmaking, envelopes and general bookbinding work. EVACON-R is supplied in a handy 125g dispensing container for easy use.
